With a record number of almost 600 participants, the 23rd Abacus Convention 2016 was BearingPoint’s biggest user conference to date. The delegates included representatives from banks, insurers, regulators and central banks from twelve countries as well as BearingPoint’s cooperation partners.

Key themes covered by the event focused on the innovation of regulatory processes through Regulatory Technology (RegTech), new regulatory requirements such as Basel IV, BCBS 239, EMIR II and MiFID II/MiFIR and BearingPoint’s new Abacus360 software generation.

It is highly impressive to see just how many people BearingPoint brought together and to discuss regulatory reporting topics with others in the user community.

Andreas Weller, Head of IT, European Banking Authority (EBA)

Once a year it's almost like a family reunion. [...] The forum for exchanging ideas that is provided here is certainly stimulating and enriching. And especially helps young bankers like us to gain a foothold in regulatory reporting. You are well positioned with a partner such as BearingPoint.

Alexander Bratz, Manager Finance & Regulatory Reporting, N26

I've very much enjoyed the conference. It's been very interesting to see the scale of the regulatory challenge and the extent which people are adopting different approaches to tackling it.

Daniel Hinge, News Editor, Central Banking Journal

Peter-Antonius Bramm, Global Head Central Banks, Industry Business Unit Banking, SAP SE

Göran Åhs, Project Manager, Länsförsäkringar

I think it's quite interesting to have different banks sharing their experience with BearingPoint Solutions in terms of Regulatory Reporting.
