Head of BIS Innovation Hub Centre in Singapore
Andrew McCormack is the Centre Head of BIS Innovation Hub Singapore. The mission of the Innovation Hub is to foster international collaboration on innovative financial technologies within the central banking community.
Andrew joined the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in April 2020 as Head of the BIS Innovation Hub Centre in Singapore. Prior to the BIS, Andrew was the Chief Information Officer & Vice President Payment at Payments Canada where he was responsible for technology strategy and payment system operations. Under his leadership, Payments Canada embraced cloud technology, launched API services, and led the ground-breaking blockchain research (a.k.a. Project Jasper) alongside the Bank of Canada.
Andrew has an MBA from the Ivey Business School and a Bachelor of Computer Science from Carleton University.
