Dr. Anke Sax looks back on 30 years of experience in various management positions at banks. Until the end of 2019, she was head the IT department of Deutsche WertpapierService Bank AG (dwpbank) as Chief Information Officer (CIO).
Before joining dwpbank, she worked as CIO of Daimler Financial Services AG. Further career stages included Commerzbank as CIO Commercial Banking and Head of IT Steering, Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) as Head of IT Steering, and major project manager. In 2010, Anke Sax earned a doctoral degree for her research on methods of strategic planning and control of IT in banks from the Technical University of Munich.
In 2019, she was awarded CIO of the Year in Germany (medium-sized businesses) and in 2020 as European Digital Leader of the Year (Finance).
