Dr. Johannes Turner is a Senior Strategic SupTech Director at Regnology. Until the end of 2025, he was Director of the Statistics Department at the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB).
He was a member of the ESCB Statistics Committee (STC) and the Austrian representative in the Committee on Monetary, Financial and Balance of Payments Statistics (CMFB) in Luxembourg. He was a member of the Advisory Board of the Statistics Council of Statistics Austria and, since 2020, Chair of the Quality Assurance Committee of the Statistics Council Austria.
In 2014/2015, he chaired the STC Task Force on the European Reporting Framework. In 2019/2020, he chaired the Task Force on Micro-to-Macro and Macro-to-Micro Data.
In 2015, Johannes Turner also became responsible for OeNB's bank resolution activities. Johannes Turner was promoted within the central bank to the position of Director Statistics Department in June 2010 after having worked in banking supervision at the OeNB for 18 years, ultimately as Head of the Off-Site Banking Analysis Division (2008-2010).
Johannes Turner holds a Master's degree and a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Vienna.
