Remigio Echeverría is Deputy Director General Statistics at the European Central Bank
(ECB). In this role, he oversees the collection and analysis of granular financial and
supervisory data, supporting the ECB's monetary policy, financial stability, and
supervisory functions. He started his career as an economist in Banco de España's
International Department. He holds a Master's degree in Economics and Business and a
Master's degree in Law.
He also completed a postgraduate Master's programme in Accounting and Auditing. He
was a member of the Advisory Expert Group on National Accounts. Remigio Echeverría
has authored articles and delivered presentations at international seminars on
statistics
