Roman Berninger has been a member of the Management Board of Berlin Hyp AG since 2010 and is responsible for Finance and Banking Operations, Risk Controlling and Organization and Information Technology. He has also been a member of the Board of Managing Directors of LBB Holding AG since January 1, 2015.

Roman Berninger began his career as an economist and auditor at Treuhand-Vereinigung AG in Frankfurt am Main. He also held management positions in the auditing of banks, insurance companies, and investment companies at C&L Deutsche Revision AG and PricewaterhouseCoopers and was based in Ireland for three years. As a partner for Financial Services at PwC, Roman Berninger was responsible for both, the Berlin and New Federal States regions.

In 2008, Roman Berninger left PwC and began at Berlin Hyp as General Representative. Led by Roman Berninger as part of his Management Board responsibility in the area of IT, Berlin Hyp has been fully restructured in recent years to meet the challenges of a digital and highly efficient bank. The focus is on developing an industry solution with highly standardized interfaces based on SAP HANA.
